  • Neshia McClendon, DNP

    Dr. Neshia McClendon is a board certified Doctoral prepared Family Nurse Practitioner who holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree – all from the University of South Florida. She has a sub-specialty in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, STI testing and medical care, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), post exposure prophylaxis (pEP), urology, dermatology, urgent care, and wound care; and maintains the ability to provide high quality care with consistency and accuracy.

    She is a Certified Nurse Educator and serves as nursing faculty at St. Petersburg College where she has the ability to pour into students at the onset of their nursing careers.

    Having practiced all aspects of Family Medicine with the underserved community in Sarasota, FL – she fondly believes in “being innovative with providing access to care and meeting patients where they are.”  Dr. McClendon is involved in the entire continuum of care for her patients, noting her specific interests in disease intervention. She has a longstanding history of providing diagnosis and treatment services to Hepatitis C patients from diverse backgrounds. She further strives to empower her patients to be active members of their healthcare team by providing them with the education, tools, resources, and comfort level to engage…one visit at a time.
